Entries open from Monday 26th June 2017 to noon on Wednesday 26th July

On July 29th 2007 The Castle officially opened it’s doors as a community space. Bude-Stratton Town Council are celebrating this 10 year milestone anniversary by launching a community art competition, ‘Capture The Castle’.

Open to amateur artists of all ages, we haven’t created too many complicated rules. Simply depict The Castle in your style and the medium of your choice, all we ask is completed artwork does not exceed A2 size.

There are 3 age groups: under 12s, 12 – 18 years and 18 years plus.

All entries will be exhibited at The Castle on the weekend Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July. Visitors will be asked to vote for their favourite pieces in each category and place their voting slips in a ballot box.

The winners will be announced at the end of The Bude-Stratton Heritage Festival on Sunday 30th July. In the event of a tie, Bude-Stratton Town Council will hold the casting vote.

All entries must be delivered to The Castle by noon on Wednesday 26th July 2017.

Prizes will be awarded to all age category winners as follows:

Under 12s – Goody bag from The Castle

12 – 18 years – The Castle Bude £15 gift voucher

18 years plus – Individual membership of The Friends of The Castle scheme

We hope you feel inspired to take part whether as an artist or visiting voting member of the local community.
