Current Vacancies – Facilities Team Chargehand

The Town Council seeks to recruit a:  Facilities Team Chargehand

Full time – 37 hours per week to include some weekend work

NJC SP 17-21 (currently £17,547 – £19,939)

The successful applicant will be required to manage land owned and maintained by the Town Council, maintain attendance and holiday records for staff under their management and ensure adequate staff cover throughout the Facilities Team.   

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Documented training/certificates in: use of brush cutters/trimmers, chainsaw, building, first aid, health and safety, fire safety and legionella testing
  • Evidenced experience of working with strimmers and ride on and pedestrian mowers
  • Full driving licence including tractor, trailer and vehicles over 3500kg

Current Vacancies – Facilities Manager

The Town Council seeks to recruit a:  Facilities Manager

Full time – 37 hours per week to include some weekend and evening work

NJC SP 31-35 (currently £27,394 – £30,480)

As Facilities Manager you will manage a team of 10+ staff who maintain all property and land owned and managed by the Council.  You will act as the Council’s Fire Safety Officer, Health and Safety Officer and Legionella Control Officer.  You will carry out risk assessments, produce documentation for quotes and tenders and source funding.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Documented experience/training in Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Legionella control
  • Estate management experience
  • A proven track record of successfully managing a multi-disciplined team
  • Proven project management and procurement experience

The Town Council seeks to recruit a:  Café Supervisor 

Full time – 37 hours per week to include weekends and evenings

NJC SCP 17-21 (currently £17,547 – £19,939)

The Council owned Café Limelight is situated in The Castle, Bude.  As Café Supervisor you will be fundamental to ensuring excellent customer service which will enhance the visit of our clientele.  You will support the Castle Manager in ensuring the daily operations of the Café are to the highest of standards.  It will be a requirement of the post to work weekends and occasional evenings.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years Café/Catering management – in a busy café/catering environment
  • Food Hygiene qualifications
  • Excellent customer service and team management skills
  • A calm and adaptable approach

Casual Café Assistants – Part-time/Occasional hours To include weekend and occasional evening working.

Bude-Stratton Town Council wish to recruit casual staff to join the Café Limelight team working in The Castle, Bude.  As a team member you can expect to work in a varied and busy environment.  You will be paid an hourly rate that meets national minimum wage requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate or be willing to work towards obtaining one
  • Good Health and Safety awareness
  • Experience working in a café /coffee shop
