The committees terms of reference include:
Management of The Castle and its grounds
The negotiation of leases and licences between the council and a third party
The negotiation of changes to council property holdings
The security of all Town Council buildings
Drawing up a register of Town Council property and registration of its title with the Land Registry
Currently the committee is considering the improvement/development of the cricket pavilion on Summerleaze Downs. The building and cricket ground are leased to North Cornwall Cricket Club by the council and the club is looking to improve the facilities at the cricket pavilion. Refurbishment is an option, but so to is its replacement with a pavilion which will meet the needs of this thriving and expanding club. The council, via the Properties Committee, is working with North Cornwall Cricket Club to formulate ideas and take them forward
It meets approximately every 8 weeks
