Many congratulations to our very own Councillor, Martin Dorey, who was awarded an MBE for services to recycling and the environment in the New Year’s Honours List!
Cllr Dorey has been championing environmental causes for the past ten years, and was founder of the #2minutebeachclean campaign which he began in 2013 after furious Atlantic storms battered the beaches of Bude in Cornwall. What started with 8 #2minutebeachclean stations across Cornwall, has morphed and there are now more than 1,000 across the UK and Ireland.
