Bude-Stratton Town Council has taken time to consider the outcomes and impact upon our community regarding the decision to lower the Gilbert Baker Pride flag during Pride month 2023. It was never the intention of this council to cause any offence and all actions were taken with the best of intentions and following town council policy. We wish to reduce any further harm by expressing our sincerest apologies and assuring residents that the council will be reviewing its flag protocol in due course to establish a clear direction for next year, and this will be communicated to everyone through our usual channels.
