On Saturday 22nd July the Bude Canal and Harbour Society celebrated its momentous 200-year anniversary with a delightful meal at the Swan Inn, Holsworthy.
During the evening’s event Nigel Kenneally, the Mayor of Holsworthy and Philippa Purchase the Deputy Mayor of Bude-Stratton were presented with commemorative plaques celebrating the history of the canal.
Attendees enjoyed a celebration cake featuring a lovely image of the Ceres. The celebrations were rounded off with everyone enjoying music from Cousin Jack.
