Special 'Meet the Councillor' Session at Bude Climate Festival on 1 June
Bude-Stratton Town Council is pleased to announce a special edition of our monthly ‘Meet the Councillor’ session, coinciding with the Bude Climate Festival on Saturday, 1 June. Join us at the Castle Grounds from 10 AM to 4 PM, where councillors will be available to discuss community issues, share ideas, and hear your thoughts. This is a unique opportunity to engage with your local representatives in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
The Bude Climate Festival, organised by Bude Climate Partnership, promises a day full of activities aimed at promoting sustainability and community engagement. Families can enjoy a range of activities, including circus skills, storytelling, arts and crafts, and more at the Children’s Yurt. For those interested in sustainable fashion, there will be workshops, talks, and stalls showcasing vintage, handmade, and repurposed items.
Visitors can explore unique stalls offering a variety of homeware, jewellery, pet supplies, gifts and local food and drink. Community engagement is a key focus, with stalls from local groups, the Climate Smart Home Hub offering energy advice, and live music throughout the day. The festival also features special shows such as sensory theatre performances, climate change films, and panel discussions with experts in climate action and education.
In the evening, the entertainment continues with a comedy night featuring award-winning comedian Stuart Goldsmith and rising star Kev Mud. All daytime events are free to attend, but we encourage you to book your free tickets in advance for the most popular activities to ensure your spot.
For more information about the festival and to secure your tickets, visit the Bude Climate Festival website at https://www.budeclimate.org/climate-festival-2024.
Come along and join us for a day dedicated to sustainability, community, and fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
