Bude Commemorates Remembrance Sunday
Bude residents demonstrated unwavering resilience as heavy rain failed to dampen the spirit of Remembrance Sunday. Despite the weather, a dedicated crowd gathered to pay their respects in a moving ceremony.
The solemn occasion began with a two-minute silence, impeccably observed, accompanied by the poignant notes of the Last Post and Reveille played by bugler Emma Inch. The procession, led by motorcycles from the Triangle, culminated in a heartfelt service at Bude Methodist Church.
In a powerful display of unity, veterans stood shoulder to shoulder with representatives from Bude RNLI, Royal Marines, Bude Fire and Rescue Service, and various other essential services and community members. Their collective presence underscored the community’s commitment to remembering and paying tribute to those who served.
A special thank you goes to Bude & Stratton Royal British Legion for their unwavering commitment to honouring our heroes. Their dedication adds a profound layer of meaning to this annual tribute.
We express our gratitude to all who attended, despite the challenging weather conditions, to join in this meaningful tribute to our fallen heroes. The resilience and unity displayed by the community are a testament to the enduring spirit of Bude.
