Facilities Operative
37 hours per week (incl. weekends and evenings) Scale points 2-6, £22,366 – £23,893
Are you proactive, reliable and keen to help maintain our community facilities? We’re seeking a dedicated Facilities Operative to join Bude-Stratton Town Council. This role involves varied duties across our properties and open spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of Town Council properties including the Parkhouse Centre, The Castle and public toilets.
- Assist with the maintenance of Town Council open spaces, including Summerleaze Downs, Castle grounds and play areas.
- Maintain flowerbeds, borders and other cultivated areas.
- Litter picking and waste management, including emptying litter and dog bins.
- Assist with minor repairs and improvements to land and property.
- Reports defects and maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSE in Maths and English (desirable).
- Health and safety awareness.
- Experience in grounds and building maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend and evenings.
- Full driving licence is required.
