Compass Point Project Commences

After years of dedication and hard work we are thrilled to be moving onto the build stage of the Compass Point Project. As we embark on this exciting new phase, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring everyone’s safety.

From Monday 24th April, please exercise caution around Compass Point and be aware of vehicle movements in the area. We politely request that you maintain a safe distance from the site compound and any vehicles. For your own safety, please do not interfere with the site. Safety signs will be located at relevant points to help you identify the project site areas.

To keep you informed of the progress, we will provide regular weekly updates online and on the fixed project information boards located in the Triangle. Due to the high winds at Compass Point, minimal information will be available at the site compound to ensure everyone’s safety.

We will also be sharing information of the exciting activities we have planned over the summer relating to the project. Stay tuned for more updates!

Thank you to the many people who have made this project possible from the hundreds of you who donated to the crowd funder at the very start, Bude-Stratton Town Council for taking the bold decision to be the lead party in saving the tower, the professional team who have worked tirelessly to get us to this stage, the National Lottery Heritage Fund for their patience and funding, Cornwall Council for their funding and support, St Michael and All Angels Church for use of their car park, and finally to the staff at BSTC who without, this project would not have been possible.

Let’s go move the Pepper Pot!!!!!!
