Councillors Meet with New MP for North Cornwall

On Tuesday 6th August 2024, Bude-Stratton Town Councillors met with Ben Maguire, the newly elected MP for North Cornwall. This meeting was a significant first step towards building a productive relationship aimed at addressing the needs of our local community.

During the discussion, Councillors briefed Ben on the progress of key local projects, including the development of the new skate park and the establishment of a youth hub for young people. These initiatives are central to the Town Council’s commitment to providing better facilities and opportunities for the youth in Bude-Stratton.

Ben Maguire expressed his strong support for these projects and acknowledged the unique challenges faced by our community. He recognised the importance of these initiatives and emphasised his commitment to being an advocate for Bude-Stratton’s needs in Parliament.

The meeting was constructive and set a positive tone for future collaboration. Both parties agreed on the importance of regular communication and working together to overcome challenges and achieve the best outcomes for the community.

Bude-Stratton Town Council is looking forward to working with Ben Maguire in the coming months to ensure the continued success of these and other local initiatives.
