It was a busy meeting with 17 items on the agenda, the draft minutes will be published on our website.

Cornwall Councillor present Peter LaBroy asked for any persons locally who was experiencing issues with homelessness to contact him directly at cllr.peter.labroy@cornwall.gov.uk
Nine members of the public attended the meeting and had the opportunity to raise and discuss various issues. A short presentation was given from Bude pride who are arranging and inclusive event for the community, held August bank holiday weekend, on The Castle lawns
Three grant requests were made to Stratton play group, Budehaven day nursery and Bude community first responders for £200 each
The Council agreed the new structures for decision making, the previous committees have been replaced with two Full Councils, one covering Council Matters and the other covering Town Matters. Both will be open to public attendance and participation. Staffing and Planning Committees will continue to run separately.
Working groups will be used as the platform for councillors, staff, and the public to work together on issues that can then be put before the Full Council meetings, for formal decision making
The Council agreed the vision and priorities for the future (see website for details)
Revised Standing Orders were agreed to encourage participation with additional work being done in a working group
A working group for Economic Development was set up and members appointed onto Bude Town Team
The motion to reduce the hire of chargers at the Parkhouse Centre and Castle Lawn for the remainder of the year was rejected by the Council
The Council agreed the beach toilets at Summerleaze and Crooklets will remain open until 9pm until September the 5th
The next full council will be held on Thursday 15th July at the Parkhouse Centre and the public are welcome to attend and participate.
