YOUR HELP IS URGENTLY NEEDED
In autumn 2021, Bude-Stratton Town Council declared a ‘housing emergency’ because we believe there is a real shortage of suitable housing available in our town for our community, and a palpable increase in housing used as holiday lets and second homes. Bude-Stratton Town Council is working in partnership with Cornwall Council to establish what our real housing needs are locally, including affordable housing.
Every property in the Bude-Stratton Parish (which includes Bude, Stratton, Poughill, Flexbury, Upton, Lystone and Hele) should very shortly receive a letter inviting you to complete the Housing Needs Survey online via Let’s Talk Cornwall. Paper copies will also be available from 20 June 2022 at the BSTC offices at the Parkhouse Centre.
PLEASE take a few minutes to complete this survey, even if you are happy with your current housing situation, or if you live outside Bude-Stratton but own a property in the Parish.
Only one survey needs to be completed per property – unless there is more than one household within that property. Additional households could include, for example, friends sharing by necessity, young adults seeking to but unable to leave home, multi-generational families living together by necessity.
The Bude-Stratton Housing Needs Survey will close on 1 August, 2022. If you have any questions or need help completing the survey, please contact the BSTC offices on 01288 353576 or email office@bude-stratton.gov.uk
We need you on this one. Meur ras! Thank you!
