New Football Area a Hit with the Community
Bude-Stratton Town Council is thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new football area, complete with goal posts, adjacent to the croquet pitch on Summerleaze Downs in Bude. This new provision has been warmly received by the community and is already seeing excellent use.
The football area was established to provide a dedicated space for local football enthusiasts to enjoy the sport in a safe and welcoming environment. Since its opening last week, the area has been buzzing with activity, with residents of all ages making the most of this new facility.
“We are delighted to see the community embracing the new football area,” said Steven Hayes, Facilities Manager for Bude-Stratton Town Council. “Our aim was to create a space that encourages physical activity and brings people together, and it’s wonderful to see it already achieving that goal.”
The new football area is part of the council’s ongoing commitment to enhancing recreational facilities in Bude and Stratton, promoting health and wellbeing, and fostering a strong sense of community. Everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy the new space, whether for a friendly match or a casual kickabout.
