Official Opening of Katy’s Corner at Bencoolen Park

Bude-Stratton Town Council is delighted to announce the official opening of the newly developed Katy’s Corner area in Bencoolen Park. The opening event is set to take place on Saturday 24th February, from 1 pm to 3 pm. 

This celebratory occasion will kick off with a small ceremony to formally inaugurate Katy’s Corner, marking a significant addition to our community’s recreational facilities. Following the opening ceremony, attendees will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the park’s greenery by participating in a tree-planting session. This initiative not only beautifies our park but also reinforces our commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement.

Moreover, the event will provide a platform for residents to engage directly with town councillors. Attendees are encouraged to discuss the future of the old “Katy’s Corner” play area, explore ideas for further tree planting within the park, or address any other issues or concerns. This is a chance for community members to voice their opinions and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our local environment.
