A recent review of the Parkhouse Centre revealed good levels of satisfaction by users overall, in terms of the standard and value of the facilities on offer. Location, cleanliness, facilities and helpfulness of staff scored very highly in a survey conducted by the Parkhouse Centre Forum, which ultimately proposed no fundamental changes to the nature of the building or the way it’s managed.
The review also proposed that the process of incremental improvements continue, with initial suggestions including additional signage, as well as enhancements to decor and lighting in parts of the Parkhouse Centre.
Whilst BSTC was able to freeze the precept for 2023/2024, and having held hire charges for the Parkhouse Centre for the current financial year, the Council has increased hire charges by 5% for 2023/2024, which is currently half the rate on inflation. The car park charges at the rear of the Parkhouse Centre were also raised by 10p to 90p per hour.
