Post-Election Buzz

After a fully contested election Bude-Stratton Offices have been a hive of activity this week. We are pleased to welcome all 18 councillors to the Council, some new, some returning. All with a positive and optimistic outlook on working together to make Bude-Stratton a fantastic place to live, work and visit.

Staff have been busy bringing councillors up to speed on how the council works and our vast range of projects and day to day events.

The first official meeting will take place on Thursday 20th May, this will also be the first in person meeting since the start of the pandemic as virtual meetings ceased to be a legal option from the 7th of May.

The meeting will be held in person at the Ivor Potter Hall, in the Parkhouse Centre where councillors will socially distance. As with every council meeting the public are invited to attend, however due to space and to ensure the safety of all involved we must limit the number of public who can attend and participate.

If you would like to secure a seat at the meeting, can you email in advance to office@bude-stratton.gov.uk and we will reserve a public gallery seat for you. Please bring a face mask (unless exempt) and complete the Government track and trace upon arrival. We request all in attendance to be seated by 5.50pm to enable us to start the meeting promptly at 6pm.
