Remembrance Sunday

Bude Royal British Legion and Bude-Stratton Town Council are pleased to announce that an order of remembrance can take place in both Stratton and Bude this year.

Many of you will remember last year, when due to the pandemic the service at Shalder Hill was streamed onto the internet with no parade or public in attendance.

Given the ongoing vaccination programme and case numbers of COVID locally this years’ service will be held outdoors only.

Stratton- 9.00-9.30 am

Laying of wreaths will be undertaken at the memorial, where the public are welcome to attend.

Bude 10.30-11.00 am

Parade along the strand over to castle green where the parade will disburse. Blessings and prayers will be held at Shalder Hill followed by wreath laying and observing the minute silence.

‘Please note there will be no church service either inside or outside this year’

We are expecting the normal wonderful public gathering along the stand and around the triangle area for those who wish to participate in the service of remembrance.

We ask that if attending you take sensible precautions to mitigate risks such as maintaining social distancing and wearing a mask if possible. We encourage everyone to continue to self-test at regular times to help lower our cases numbers.
