Seythen Kewsel Kernewek | Speak Cornish Week

Seythen Kewsel Kernewek | Speak Cornish Week Monday 23 June – Sunday 29 June 2025

Speak Cornish Week is nearly here, and there are lots of ways to get involved. Organised by An Rosweyth, the network of Cornish language voluntary organisations, this week-long celebration is all about encouraging people to use and enjoy the Cornish language – whether you’re a complete beginner or already confident in speaking it.

This year’s theme is ‘Kernoweger ov vy’ – ‘I am a Cornish speaker’, focusing on the phrases ov vy (I am) and on ni (we are). The aim is to make the Cornish language visible and heard across Cornwall – in towns, villages, shops, cafés, and online.

A full programme of events will take place throughout the week, including online and in-person activities, taster sessions, and more.
