Statement Regarding Bude Climate Partnership

After careful consideration, the council has had to make the difficult decision to step away from its role as lead partner for Bude Climate Partnership (BCP).

Bude-Stratton Town Council has served as the lead partner for BCP since 2022. This initiative was designed to foster positive, community-led responses to climate change in the wider Bude area.

Over recent months, the council has worked closely with BCP to support its development and address a range of ongoing challenges. Despite the significant time and effort invested by council officers and members, there has been limited progress in resolving these issues.

This is a disappointing situation for everyone who has worked tirelessly to advance the goals of BCP. The council remains committed to supporting the community in addressing climate challenges and exploring alternative avenues to deliver positive climate action locally.
