Update on Refuse Collection Services in Bude-Stratton

Important Update on Refuse Collection Services

Bude-Stratton Town Council wishes to inform residents of upcoming changes to refuse collection services, as announced by Cornwall Council. These changes are designed to improve waste management and recycling efforts across our community.

New Bin Deliveries

Starting now and continuing through to October, new bins will be delivered to households in our area. These new bins are part of the enhanced waste collection service aimed at making recycling and waste disposal more efficient.

Detailed Information on Service Changes

Residents can find comprehensive information about the new waste service changes on the Cornwall Council website. This includes details on how the new collection system will work, what types of waste will be collected, and how to properly use the new bins. Leaflet with Instructions

Cornwall Council will also be sending out a leaflet with step-by-step instructions on what residents need to do when their new bins arrive. This leaflet will provide essential guidelines to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. The information can also be accessed online here: Get set: what you need to do when your new bins arrive – Cornwall Council

Ordering Additional Recycling Bags and Boxes

If residents require more recycling bags (orange, red, and blue) or the black box for glass and textiles, these can be ordered through the Cornwall Council website. This service is available to ensure that everyone has the necessary resources to participate in the improved recycling programme. Orders can be placed here: Order recycling bags and boxes – Cornwall Council

Roadshow Event on Refuse Collection Changes

To help residents understand and adapt to these changes, Cornwall Council will be hosting a roadshow event. This event will take place on 20 September from 10am to 12pm at Bude Library. It will be an excellent opportunity for residents to ask questions and get detailed information directly from the council representatives.

We encourage all residents to attend this event, stay informed and make the necessary preparations for the upcoming changes to our refuse collection services. These improvements are crucial for enhancing our community’s sustainability and ensuring a cleaner, greener future for Bude-Stratton.

For any further questions or assistance, please contact Cornwall Council directly or visit their website.
