We have a range of indoors spaces for hire for both community and business purposes. The spaces are housed within The Parkhouse Community Centre and The Castle. All spaces can be booked using a booking form below.

The Hall can seat up to 250 people theatre style and is a large flexible space which can be used for a wide range of activities from keep fit classes and community fairs to live performances or wedding receptions and formal dinners.

The Conference Room serves as the Council Chamber and is available to hire when not in official use. It is a carpeted, multi-use room with free Wi-Fi, hearing loop and plasma screen for computer/media presentations. The maximum theatre-style seated capacity is 40. The boardroom style table seats 20 comfortably as a conference table but is modular so may be set in different styles, layouts or shapes to seat 36 in the optimal layout.
The room benefits from an integral small kitchen area with a microwave, two ring electric hob, fridge and kettle and a single toilet facility.

With incredible views looking over Summerleaze the conservatory and decking is a versatile space for ceremonies or events.
The Town Council manage several outdoor spaces which are available to hire, including The Triangle and The Castle Grounds. The Castle grounds, Bude Light and Bandstand are available as individual spaces or as a whole, for community events, wedding and celebrations.
The Bude Light was commissioned by Bude-Stratton Town Council to mark the millennium whilst celebrating the inventions of Sir Goldsworthy Gurney who built The Castle behind. Designed by local artist Carole Vincent and built in collaboration with Anthony Fanshawe, the paved area surrounding the colourful slender concrete cone presents as an amphitheatre. The Bude light area can be hired for smaller events or as part of the whole outside space.
The centre of community music throughout the summer, the bandstand sees groups from across the musical genres playing to crowds on The Castle grounds. The Bandstand can be hired individually or as whole along side the Bude light and Castle Grounds.
Located in the heart of the Town Centre, The Triangle is suitable to hire for small community events and performances year round.
The Downs is owned by Bude-Stratton Town Council and a designated space for the community to use and therefore are not for hire, however, for any planned community events you wish to take place on the Downs please complete the form below. Due to the nature of the land, it will be at the Councils discretion to approve.
