Bencoolen Park 

The largest of the play parks in Bude is Bencoolen Park, situated on the main road into Bude from Stratton.

Recently refurbished and updated with the latest play equipment this park offers inclusive play equipment, a separate park specifically for toddler aged children and picnic benches on the large grassed area to the back.

There are bins provided and benches around the outside of the park. Please do not bring dogs into the play area. 

Poughill Park

Smaller in size, Poughill park offers a sheltered safe space for smaller children to play in Poughill.

There is a large grassed area as well as play equipment. Located next to the free car park in Poughill and adjacent to the cemetery.

Summerleaze Wooden Ship 

Recently re-built the wooden ship located behind the beach huts at Summerleaze beach offers an imaginative play area for children of all ages. 

With a realistic crows next and views out to sea this play area is perfect for pirate parties!  

Crooklets Wooden Ship 

Built on sand and located on the promenade at Crooklets beach this large purpose built wooden ship wreck offers fun for all ages. 

Located close to the Downs this play area is the perfect stop before a walk across the Downs from Crooklets to Summerleaze.
