Bude-Stratton Town Council has approved the budget for the 2026/27 financial year, ensuring that essential community services continue to be delivered effectively.

• Percentage Increase: 6.7%
• Band D Property Annual Contribution: £333.88 (compared to £313.01 in 2025/26)

How the Precept Fits into Your Council Tax

The precept is the portion of your Council Tax that goes directly to Bude-Stratton Town Council, while Cornwall Council sets the overall Council Tax, which also covers services such as police, fire, and waste collection. The town council precept funds a wide range of local services and community assets, including public parks, play areas, gardens, sports facilities, public toilets, the library, The Castle Heritage Centre, the Parkhouse Centre, and other public spaces such as The Triangle. Plans for 2026/27 also include the redevelopment of the skatepark to improve facilities for young people.
